United Democratic Alliance is conducting repeat nominations in several wards in three constituencies in Nairobi County.
The protest is being repeated following the cancellation of the nominations that were conducted last week on Thursday.
A spot check on various polling station across Starehe Constituency revealed a very low voter turnout.
Unlike last week’s nominations that were characterized with violence no violence was reported today.
Alfred Odhiambo a voter in Kariokor Ziwani Ward however lamented the slow voting process.
“My name is Alfred Odhiambo, it is my first time voting. My only concern today is that the process is slow, the polling officials are taking a lot of time conduct the process, if they improve that, then all will be fine,” said Odhiambo.
Some voters also missed their names in the register being used by the poll officials.
Scolasticah Alube is battling it out with Ndolo Ngumbi in Ziwani/Kariokor Ward while in Ngara incumbent Chege Mwaura is battling it out with Simon Kamau.
