United Democratic Alliance (UDA) candidate John Njuguna Wanjiku has clinched the Kiambaa parliamentary seat.
Wanjiku beat Jubilee’s Kariri Njama after garnering 21,773 votes against Njama’s 21,263.
Vote counting at the tallying center was briefly halted last night after allegations of irregularities.
Njama had demanded that the votes be recounted after storming the tallying center at around 4 am.
UDA Party members today broke into song and dance congratulating Wanjiku for the win.
