UEFA has postponed all matches scheduled in Israel in the next couple of weeks in light of the current security situation.

”In light of the current security situation in Israel, UEFA has decided to postpone all matches scheduled in Israel in the next couple of weeks with new dates to be confirmed in due course.” UEFA said in a statement

The postponed matches are:

European Qualifiers 2024
12/10: Israel – Switzerland

UEFA European Under-21 Championship 2025
12/10: Israel – Estonia

17/10: Israel – Germany

UEFA European Under-17 Championship 2024
11/10 to 17/10: Mini tournament involving Israel, Belgium, Gibraltar and Wales

UEFA to asses the situation

In addition UEFA says it  reserves a few more days to assess whether the European Qualifiers 2024 match Kosovo – Israel can take place on the originally planned date of 15/10 or requires postponement.

UEFA will continue to closely monitor the situation and will remain in contact with all teams involved before making decisions on new dates and on potential changes to other upcoming fixtures.

Euro 2028 and 2032 hosts

The UK and Republic of Ireland are set to be announced as hosts of the 2028 European Championships at a Uefa meeting in Switzerland on Tuesday.

The five-nation bid is now running unopposed after Turkey withdrew from the process last week.

The UK & Ireland are the only bidders left for Euro 2028 after Turkey withdrew their application.

The UK and Republic of Ireland are set to be announced as hosts of the 2028 European Championships at a Uefa meeting in Switzerland on Tuesday.

The five-nation bid is now running unopposed after Turkey withdrew from the process last week.

Turkey merged their Euro 2032 bid with Italy in July and are set to be confirmed as joint-hosts for that tournament.

Both bids are running unopposed but still need official approval by UEFA
