Ugandan singer EDDY Kenzo has been appointed as Kenya tourism board’s ambassador.
The singer said it was such an honour to promote homage, Culture, beauty and tourism describing Kenya as his other mother country.
However Kenyans were not happy with the decision saying that the board should have atleast appointed a Kenyan to head the campaign.
Many Kenyan celebrities on their part defended Eddy Kenzo saying it was an honour to have him promote our country.
Caroline Mutoko said in a tweet ” well dne Eddy Kenzo, asante for doing us the honour.”
KTB chief executive ms. Betty Adero also defended the decision saying Ugandans contribute a lot to the percentage of east African tourists visiting Kenya. She said that the singer has a wide social following and thus the decision to use him was made.
