Cord leaders are meeting with President Uhuru Kenyatta at State House over the IEBC stalemate.
The meeting which is currently ongoing is expected to focus on resolving whether IEBC commissioners should be removed from office.
Earlier today, Mr Odinga hastily left a burial ceremony in Narok Tuesday afternoon for the State House meeting, ahead of Madaraka Day celebrations on Wednesday.
According to Mr Odinga, the meeting is meant to address some of the issues raised by his Cord coalition, top among them its position on the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission, (IEBC).
The meeting is coming amidst heated exchange between the opposition and the government over Cord’s planned Madarak Day Celebrations at Uhuru Park tomorrow.
The meeting initiated by the President will feature Cord members led by their co-principal, Raila Odinga and Moses Wetang’ula. Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka is in China.
