President uhuru Kenyatta will will tomorrow tour Kisumu, a stronghold of Nasa leader Raila Odinga, State House spokesperson Manoah Esipisu confirmed.
He is expected to have dinner with local leaders, officially close the drama festivals that has been ongoing for two weeks and address the public.
He will then visit Vihiga, Nasa co-principal Mr Musalia Mudavadi’s backyard.
But opposition leaders have termed the planned visit by President Uhuru Kenyatta to Kisumu and Vihiga counties ill-timed.
The Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) politicians said the visit was “too little too late” for a region he had marginalised with regard to development.
Uhuru is seeking another term in office and like in the past, he faces another strong onslaught from NASA, although the latter is yet to settle on a joint candidate.
