Uhuru Tells MPs To Have Pay Cuts

The government will as from August this year adopt the salaries and remuneration commission report that recommends review of all government employees including elected politicians in view to manage the overwhelming wage bill.

Addressing the nation today presidents says the review will ensure that the government sustains, salaries of its employees and other developments.

Current government wage bill stands at 50% of total revenue collected.

He further cautioned politicians against vying for political post to enrich themselves accusing them of sabotaging the constitutional  role of salaries and remuneration commission.

Uhuru says Politicians have a norm of demanding heavy salaries and allowances immediately after elections to return back what they spent during campaigns.
