President Uhuru Kenyatta today skipped the official opening of devolution conference in Kakamega citing unfavourable weather but opted to read his speech from state house where he stress so much on his plans to achieve the BIG FOUR agendas.
In his remarks he has called on governors to play a key role in ensuring they co-operate with the national government for easy facilitation of the programs to be rolled out in the BIG FOUR.
In the agenda the universal health care for all Kenyans has been given the first priority as the government seeks to cover every Kenyan citizen.
Kisumu, Machakos, Isiolo and Nyeri counties will be used to for piloting of the universal health care program.
Kenyatta also talked tough on corrupt government officials saying they will be fired upon implication on any corruption deals.
He also stressed on importance of inter-government projects pumping another 50 billion shillings to facilitate the same.
Meanhwile the conference continues and former premier Raila Amollo Odinga is expected to give Key note address tommorow as Deputy president WilliamRuto waits for its closure on Thursday.
