The Umo Inner Matatu that caused an accident on Saturday that killed two matatu conductors had been banned by the National Transport and Safety Authority.
The matatu popularly known as Master Mind had been banned over reckless driving.
This is after a video that captured the matatu being driven recklessly went viral.
“The DL and PSV License of the driver have been suspended for a period of 6 months. He will be required to undergo driver re-test for the Authority to ascertain his competencies before the licenses are reinstated,” NTSA said in a statement.
On Saturday, the bus hit a truck that had been parked along Jogoo Road killing two of its drivers.
