Majority schools of schools in the country opened today to an uncertainty over the looming nationwide teachers strike.
The strike which has been called by the Kenya National Union of Teachers over promotion of teachers is set to kick off on Monday next week.
Parents who took their children to school today registered their frustrations over the strike that is set to start just before the students sit for their end year examinations.
“Why can’t they go on strike in January when learning have just started? This is very frustrating,” one of the parents stated.
