University Students arrested with Over 400 Sim cards and 8 IDs


Sleuths from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) on Thursday arrested two University students and a bank employee in a crackdown on electronic fraud suspects.

The three were rounded up at Highpoint area in Juja following a tip off by members of the public.

The three include university students Ian Kinanga and Jefferson Bosire as well as Kevin Oroko, a software developer at a local bank.

During the arrest, officers recovered over 400 sim cards, 8 national ID cards, 2 laptops and 4 mobile phones.

In a statement issued by the DCI, the three will be charged with fraud once investigations are completed.
