The Kenya University Students Organisation (KUSO) has threatened to paralyse activities if a ruling sentencing the DCI boss to four months imprisonment over the Jimmy Wanjiogi guns saga is not set aside.

Addressing the press today, KUSO Chairman Antony Manyara says that the ruling against Kinoti should be set aside until the judiciary is investigated over corruption allegations.

Manyara says that jailing Kinoti will be putting the entire security team in the country in jeopardy.

“We will always stand by the people who are mandated by the president to ensure there’s justice in the country, anti-corruption observed and also good governance is enhanced,” said Manyara.

“DCI George Kinoti has been instrumental in the arrest, unlocking away of dangerous criminals and terrorists both as a field officer and various ranks he has held in directorates of criminal investigations,” he stated.

The chairman went ahead to term the four month sentencing of DCI Kinoti by Justice Murima as laughable, ridiculous and ill motivated.

“Its’ ridiculous, laughable and ill-motivated to the sentencing of DCI by Justice Murima to a four months jail sentence in the Kamiti Maximum Prison,” said Manyara.
