UoN agrees to pay salaries of lectures who went on strike

University of Nairobi management has now agreed to pay three months pending salaries of lecturers who participated in strike, following work boycott threat that was issued yesterday by affected dons.

The salaries include the month of March ,April and May.

University academic staff Union secretary general Gerge Omondi UON branch is accusing the vice chancellor professor Peter Mbithi of not adhering to the agrreement signed when they called off the strike that stated that there will be no victimization of any lecturer who participated in the strike.

Omondi further pointed  fingers at UON top leadership for trying to settle scores with individual lectrures using strike issue.
