Uproar over rising insecurity in Ruaraka

Security concerns have been raised in Kariadudu slums Ruaraka constituency following the death of resident who was attacked and stabbed to death by gang just next to Kariobangi-Kariadudu bridge.

Residents now claim that the gang members are still at large with no arrests made at the moment.

The deceased met his death at around 4am Saturday morning when on his way home from town.

Area resident Jacob Ochieng’ has led the residents in calling for more security in the area and more patrols.

‘‘We want to call on police to boost night patrols in this area to avert such  cases, we cannot  walk past 4pm  without fear of being robbed.’’ He added.

Our attempts to reach Ruaraka OCS were futile.

Early this year a GSU officer’s  phone and gun was traced in this area  days after he was  murdered by a gang.

This year alone five suspected gang members have been gunned down in Kariadudu.
