School children in Nairobi’s Kibra slums are accused of reigning terror on area residents by engaging in crime.
Child protection officer in Kibra Constituency Humphrey Lando says they have so far arrested school children aged between 15 to 18 years involved in crime.
Lando says that some of the children are pupils who just sat for their KCPE exams while some are in form one and two.
According to Lando, the children are using guns and knives to terrorise the residents.
“The most affected areas are Lindi and Kwa Nyando around 8PM and 9PM” said Lando.
Most of their victims are those who are coming from work.
Lando has urged parents to be vigilant with their children and report any criminal activities.
