In Summary:
- Valley Road Motors’ proprietors deny allegations of stealing a high-end vehicle.
- Ng’ang’a further denied ever receiving any summons related to the case or attending court sessions over the vehicle
Valley Road Motors’ proprietor, Francis Mundia Ng’ang’a, has firmly denied allegations of stealing a high-end vehicle.
Speaking to journalists alongside his son, Brandon Ng’ang’a, the businessman stated that the car was acquired through a middleman identified as Robert Bundi Mugaa, who was reportedly acting on behalf of the vehicle’s owner.
Ng’ang’a explained that the transaction was conducted transparently at their Valley Road Bazaar office, where an agreement was reached and a total of Ksh 4.1 million was paid to Bundi.
“We carried out due diligence on the vehicle, verified its ownership, and only then completed the transaction,” Ng’ang’a said, emphasizing that funds were transferred to Bundi’s account only after all documents were confirmed.
Ng’ang’a further denied ever receiving any summons related to the case or attending court sessions over the vehicle. He added that he only became aware of the theft allegations after seeing social media posts and receiving concerned calls from clients and friends.
Ng’ang’a claimed the posts were malicious and intended to damage his business’s reputation. He also questioned the jurisdiction of the case, arguing it was reported in a different area from where the sale took place.

To protect their business, the car has since been returned to its rightful owner, Peter Munene Njoroge, after they learned Bundi had not been transparent during the sale.
“After we discovered Bundi had not been transparent, we immediately surrendered the car back to the owner,” he said.
Bundi’s Dark Past
On April 15, 2025, the controversial Robert Bundi Mugaa was arrested by Kilimani police over the dramatic theft of a Sh33 million Range Rover from Alvis Motors on Ngong Road.
The complainant, Adeel Rashid Mohamed, stated that Mugaa had expressed interest in the luxury vehicle and had been referred to the dealership’s sales manager. Mugaa requested to test-drive the SUV, allegedly to show it to a potential buyer. Although initially denied due to the absence of an agreement or payment, Mugaa convinced the manager to accompany him to a Shell petrol station along Dennis Pritt Road, claiming the buyer was waiting there.
