Vinicius Jr red card has been rescinded and Valencia punished after the racist abuse the Brazilian Winger suffered on Sunday.
The Real Madrid winger was targeted with monkey chants at the Mestalla stadium before and during his club’s 1-0 loss against Valencia – the 10th occasion this season alone he has been targeted by racist abuse.
And the Spanish FA announced on Tuesday evening that the red card he received later that game has been expunged and he will face no suspension.
They added the offending Mario Kempes stand has been ordered to close for five matches and Valencia fined 40,000 pound approximately ksh Sh6.8 Million for the offences’ of their fans.
Vinicious was sent off in stoppage time by referee Ricardo de Burgos Bengoetxea for striking an opponent following a scuffle with Valencia players in which he appeared to be grabbed around the neck.
He had earlier been racially abused by fans at the Mestalla Stadium, which led to the game being halted for 10 minutes as the player pointed out people who were abusing him in the stands.
Seven people accused of different hate crimes against Vinicius were detained by the Spanish police earlier on Tuesday.
