Victor Wanyama of Tottenham Hot spur will face Divock Origi of Liverpool in the UEFA champions league finals after Tottenham Hotspur strick an incredibal 3-2 win over Ajax on Wednesday.
Liverpool produced one of the most stunning comebacks in Champions League history as Divock Origi and Georginio Wijnaldum scored twice to beat Barcelona 4-0 and progress to the final for the second consecutive year 4-3 on aggregate on Tuesday.
Mauricio Pochettino’s side recovered from two goals down at halftime, putting them three behind on aggregate, to win 3-2 thanks to Lucas Moura’s hat-trick at the Johan Cruyff Arena on Wednesday.
When Lucas Moura played kick-about with his one-year-old son on the pitch at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium after his hat-trick against Huddersfield in April, it seemed the Brazilian forward’s season had reached its high point.
But the 26-year-old’s treble in that low-key 4-0 win was just the start of a remarkable end to the season for the unsung hero whose incredible hat-trick broke Ajax hearts.
Tottenham’s jaw-dropping revival sent them through on away goals and they will face Premier League rivals Liverpool in their first European Cup final appearance in Madrid on June 1.
