Wanyonyi Warns Nairobi Electorates Against Electing Corrupt Leaders

Nairobi gubernatorial hopeful Tim Wanyonyi has now warned city electorates against electing leaders with integrity questions saying his opponents are full of scandals.

According to Tim his development record speaks for itself and that his ten years spell in Westlands as Member of Parliament has been muddled by massive development.

“I am seeking for position of Governor of Nairobi. I have served two terms in Westlands, I have done my job there and my track record is very clear and anybody can see it,” he said after attending Sunday service at Deliverance Church in Langata on Sunday, February 20th.

He added, “I am offering myself to lead Nairobi and I know I am equal to the task under the Azimio umbrella in Orange Democratic Movement (ODM).”

He has called on the ODM party members to support him saying he is the only candidate who has shown interest in the seat.

“I am the only person offering myself in ODM and am always ready for nominations should our parties decide to go for a joint nominations,” Tim told Langata residents.

He has however, indicated that he will soon announce his deputy but insisted that it is not a priority for now.

“You deputy is a person who will deputize you and that can come at any time any moment even in the last day or nomination day. Right now let people know Tim Wanyonyi as the Candidate the deputy will only be running behind me so the general is Tim Wanyonyi,” he said.

Those who have expressed interest for the Nairobi Governor’s seat include Kenya Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KNCCI) president Richard Ngatia, Nairobi senator Johnson Sakaja of UDA, former Starehe Member of Parliament Margret Wanjiru and business mogul Agnes Kagure.
