Curious Kenyans have raised questions after accused murderer Kevin Kangethe managed to escape from Muthaiga police station in Nairobi.
Kangethe who fled to Kenya after murdering his girlfriend in the United states, was arrested by the Kenyan police recently, however just days after his arrest he vanished from the police station sparking speculation among the public.

Did Kangethe’s lawyer Allow Him to Escape?
Concerns have been raised about the possible involvement of Kangethe’s lawyer John Maina Ndegwa in helping Kangethe escape.
Others are wondering if Ndegwa was a true lawyer as he allowed his client to flee.
It is said that the lawyer was granted access to speak with the suspect in private on Wednesday . Minutes later, Kangethe was seen escaping hopping onto a matatu leaving behind the supposed lawyer.
Police Embarrassed
Kangethe’s had been detained at the Muthaiga police station pending a decision on his extradition to the United States to face charges of first-degree murder in connection with the death of Margaret Mbitu on October 31, 2023.
“At the time of the escape the station commander Chief Inspector Esther Muchomba was chairing a meeting with all the Anti-crime personnel and members of inspectorate while at her office, she was alerted by a loud noise of officers who were chasing the prisoner along Thika Super Highway but they did not manage to re-arrest him,” a Police report read.

Nairobi Police Boss, Adamson Bungei who swiftly responded to the incident, labeled the incident as “embarrassing” vowing to launch a thorough investigation into the circumstances surrounding Kangethe’s escape.
