Residents of Huruma Mathare are frustrated over the lack of water in their constituency urging area Member of Parliament Anthony Oluoch to come to their aid.

The residents have resulted to fetching water in their neighboring Ruaraka constituency, which they say comes with challenges. They have to fetch water secretly as they risk being arrested.

They further added that transporting water from Ruraka is challenging as they have to pull carts uphill which is very strenuous. This has also led to increase in water charges as they have to pay ksh 30 for a Jerrican of water.
