As Kenyans continue to grapple with obedience on the 8pm curfew restriction, a section of Ruaraka residents have applauded move saying it has helped police to tame criminals in the area.
Led by David Otieno, a Kasabuni village elder, the residents claim that insecurity has reduced in the area thanks to early curfew that has exposed criminals.
“This area was worse before. Businesses people, those people from work were all being stabbed as from 9pm but after curfew was imposed many have been arrested by the police,” they said.
Otieno has also cautioned bar owners hiding revelers inside bars past curfew to stop saying some of them turned to be criminals.
“Let’s follow the protocols and for the bar owners you don’t know who you are serving alcohol and their mission. Let us please adhere to the restrictions ,” he added .
