South B residents have again took to the streets to protest against the alleged grabbing of South B market land.

The residents led by area MCA Chege Waithera accused the developer of using a fake court document  to  gain access to the land despite being declared public utility by Nairobi Land and  Panning CEC SG Mwangi.

“The developer has resorted to intimidations he is mobilizing youths and inciting them to cause threats and fear but I want to assure him that we shall not relent.We are peace lovers to mean we shall not allow  a grabber to cause fear amongst us.In a meeting that was attended by CEC in charge of lands records at City Hall this parcel of land was declared a public utility so we shall not allow anyone from whatever social class to grab it.” Waithera said.

“Our President  William Ruto is aware of whatever is going on I have been updating him.” She added.

“Hii ndio soko pekee south B tunategemea mbona hawa cartels wa mashamba wanataka kutudhulumu.Sio poa na tunataka president wetu na gavana waingilie juu hatutaishi tukiwatch watu wakinyakua public utility hiyo haitafanyika.We believe tuko na gava na lazima tupatane protection mheshimiwa wetu Waithera ametusaidia sana haingekuwa yeye hii soko ingeshaenda.” Peter Kariuki South B trader said.

“We have been suffering for along time we want this issue be sorted promptly  so that we can have back our land and new market be established by the county. It is tormenting to see a whole Mp trying to grab a land belonging to wananchi it’s a shame and this land appetite must stop.South B has spoken loud and louder we should be given respect enough is enough,” a resident  added.
