Jacky Vike’s message to Eric Omondi after missing out on Presidential award

Jacky’s name appeared with others on the Gazette Notice number 16986 issued by President William Ruto.

Together with others, Jacky was awarded on Kenya’s Jamhuri day celebrations. As any other person would be, Jacky was over excited and added a post on her Instagram page.

It was a photo of her receiving the award from the president captioned, “Honored OGW is the title, grateful.”

OGW stands for Order of the Grand Warrior.

Several people Rant about not getting a National Honor

Contrary to their expectations, there were several Kenyans who missed on the list. Apart from CS Moses Kuria, and Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna, there was comedian Eric Omondi, who ranted about not being among those getting a national honor.

Eric started comedy a few years ago on the show Churchill Show that would be hosted on the Nation TV. He however didn’t stop there. He actually used the opportunity as a foundation.

He has been posting comedy and lots of content on his social media pages. He has also been helping fellow Kenyans in different ways.

He seemed to have a good reason to rant about not being included on the list. Jacky, commonly known as Awinja, had a message for him.

“For me what I can say is I don’t understand the criteria they used, I respect Erico, and he is a very good friend of mine, of course.

I have seen people saying that -he was left out again I don’t know what criteria they used,” the actress said.

Benefits of the Award

Vike also spoke about how she is benefiting from the honor, and that she has no interest in politics.

“Sina interest na siasa at all I’ve been recognized because of what I do, which is entertaining the people and that’s what I will keep doing,” she explained.

“I am still learning juzi tulikuwa na Bien and he told me the benefits that come with such an honor, which made me go eh oh wacha! So I’m still getting to know the benefits.

At the moment what I can say is I’m still processing this, one I can say I am truly humbled, I am grateful, you know, most of the time when you do our content, we don’t do it to get recognized.

We do our content because we love it. After all, this is something that’s in our hearts,” she said.
