Despite the Government having imported maize flour to ease the cost of the commodity by retailing a 2kg packet at ksh 90 from the previous ksh 160, some Kenyans are yet to benefit.

The maize flour is still being sold at ksh 160 at some retail outlets with the retailers claiming that they are yet to receive the subsidized flour.

A spot check at Tuskys, Uchumi and Nakumatt supermarket outlets in Nairobi on Monday morning confirmed the same as  maize flour shelves were empty.

An attendant at Nakumatt supermarket revealed that they only received 100 Packets of flour on Sunday that ended up being bought.
