Expressing frustration, an X platform user claimed that Passaris was heckled due to perceived inaction on her part regarding the increasing femicide cases.
“I really booed @EstherPassaris! Best thing I’ve done in a long time. We really need to boo these politicians whenever we see them! We are tired of mediocrity!” She said.
“I think the issue is people felt you did too little too late, considering. Perhaps this is an opportunity to put in place some frameworks to fight the misogyny that plays a huge factor in Femicide,” Another X user said.
Passaris Fights Back
In response Passaris fired back saying that she was unfairly targeted as a “punching bag” for people to vent their frustrations and settle political scores.
“You must have a really boring life if the best thing you have done in a long time was booing me. By the way. You might have worn a t shirt, carried a placard and drank water financed by @NGAAF_KE for today’s march,”Passaris Responded.
She accused some people on trying to undermine her and paint her negatively yet she was part of the team that planned for the Saturdays march.
“I was booed because I was the available punching bag to let out frustrations and to settle political scores. Not because “you did little too late”I have been on a planning wall with CSOs for the Femicide March from inception,”
