High flying Nigerian Afro beat star David Adedeji Adeleke popularly known as Davido recently revealed why he did not collaborate with any Tanzanian artist in his record breaking ‘Timeless’ album owing to bad blood among the artists’.

Speaking on a podcast, the Naija crooner affirmed that not only music rivalry but also ‘hate comments’ that are plastered on his videos by waring fans killed his vibe with bongo flava stars.
If I go to Tanzania for example and i do a song with an artist there, when i get back home and am seeing like hate comments or maybe the artist i did the song with has a rival”

He further added that he studied the Tanzanian market with his previous album noting the crucial stumbling blocks.
“It can change your line of thoughts ‘Do you understand? So like I learnt alot from my previous album” He added
Though he didn’t mention the waring factions in Bongo, still eyes were locked towards Diamond and Harmonize as the former has a song with Davido dubbed ‘My Number One Remix’ done 9 years ago and boasts of a whooping 50 million views on YouTube and still counting.

Davido’s ‘Timeless’ album set the pace for African acts by selling hugely with more than 70 million streams coming from various music platforms such as Spotify, Audiomark, Boom play and Amazon among others.
