Nairobi Governor Mike Mbuvi Sonko has elicited mixed reactions from a section of netizens after comparing himself to US President -Elect Joe Biden.
According to Sonko, he and Biden have similarly gone through a lot of pain and hard times that have almost driven them to commit suicide.
In post captioned The Sad Story of Joe Biden, Sonko narrated the story of Biden how he went through tragic times when he lost his wife and daughter in a tragic road accident in 1973.
“At some point he wanted to commit suicide just like me coz he went through alot of pain and hard times including loosing his wife and daughter in a tragic road accident in 1973, actually after the accident he was sworn in in the hospital where his two sons who were also involved in the same accident were recovering,” said Sonko.
Sonko’s sentiments were however met by mixed reactions from Kenyans some who claimed that he was nothing close to Joe Biden.
“You don’t compare in anyway with Joe, two diff people,” wrote Simon Irungu.
“You have not seen nothing yet,” James Mwangi W wrote.
“Hapo Gedion mbuvi mike Sonko the legendary city iron man … umasema ukweli,” Isaac K Ntoika said.
“Most successful people have a sad story to tell..you are such an inspiration to many,” said Lilian Bliss Ongoge.
