Makueni man caught on camera assaulting his wife has been jailed for 12 years.
Daudi Nzomo has been sentenced by Makueni Magistrate James Mwaniki to serve 10 years in prison and two years on probation.
According to the prosecution, Nzomo has had many previous incidences of assault on the wife and that this was not his first offence.
He has allegedly been assaulting his wife Mwnde ever since she objected to him marrying a second wife.

On his part, Nzomo urged his wife Mwende, who is currently in Nairobi, to reconsider her decision to divorce him.
He also urged the magistrate to give him a lenient sentence as he is the sole breadwinner for his family.
Magistrate Mwaniki then gave his ruling and sentenced Nzomo to 12 years in jail.
