Eric Omondi’s show wife material was a number one trend for most parts of December last year with all the drama in selecting the girls to be on the show, choosing the winner, the wedding and even claims of sexual relations.
The show which ended with Omondi’s wedding to ‘Band BeCa’s’ Carol Kamweru and a honeymoon at Swahili Beach resort in Ukunda, Diani.
But, just as many people had suspected, the comedian and owner of Big Tyme Entertainment has revealed that the show was choreographed and scripted.
“I want to take this opportunity to thank you from the bottom of my heart for supporting the show #WifeMaterial My heartfelt gratitude to all the ladies who participated in the show,” wrote Omondi on his social media page.
“We did this show to give you just a small taste of what BIG TYME ENTEERTAINMENT and ERIC OMONDI STUDIOS has in store for you,” he added.
The admission did not catch netizens by surprise as they had always suspected it with some even alluding to the show being a part of a clout chasing gimmick to bring back ‘Band BeCa’, whose popularity seemed to have dwindled, to the limelight.
Their assumption is not so far off as Eric Omondi just announced the band’s new song “watch your Mouth”.
