Controversial singer Willy Paul has revealed that his management barred him from working with a gengetone artiste.
In a post shared online, Willy Paul said his current album was meant to have ten songs but ended up with nine after his management removed one song.
The singer says the song was pulled down because he worked on it with a Gengetone artiste.
The management allegedly said Gengetone artistes don’t make sense to his brand.
“Today I feel very sad… Something I’ve kept to myself since I released my album. Anyway, #SONGSOFSOLOMONALBUM has only 9 songs… truth is songs they should be 10 but unfortunately my management said no to the 10th song… They said there’s no way they will allow me to collaborate with Gengetone musicians. That those people don’t make any sense in their music. Surely how can one say that to someone who is just trying put food on the table?” he wrote.
Netizens claimed that the singer was only sharing the post because of clout.
He has however refuted those allegations saying he had no idea the song was pulled down until the album came out.
