DEFILED KIBERA GIRL
Kibera Sheikh Sulueiman Hussein who was arrested over defilement of a 13 year old child has been denied bailed by the court.
This is even as the witnesses in the case claim that they are being threatened.
Suleiman was arraigned before Magistrate Ms. Kang’atwa at the Milimani courts.
Kangatwa ordered that the suspect be detained for another 14 days at the Industrial Prison.
The complainants Nubians rights Forum through their chairman Shaffie Hussein say that they are optimistic that the girl will get justice at last saying the are much satisfied with how the court is handling the matter.
‘‘We are happy so far and we want to ask our court to ensure that justice prevails no matter the strength and influence of the suspect,’’ he added.
They have on the other hand requested the court to protect the witnesses claiming that they are being intimidated by family members of the suspect.
‘‘They are intimidating the suspects and eve trying to bribe them let this come to attention of the courts..because its unlawful to intimidate any witness.’’ He said.
The defiled girl has been taken to Kabete Children Home where he is currently receiving counselling and medication.
Sheikh and his family resides in Makina where the suspect has been teaching Madrassa classes for quite sometime.
