Woman Duped Of Ksh. 7.8 Million By Cartels


Three people were yesterday arraigned in court for allegedly defrauding a woman Ksh. 7.8 Million shillings in the name of selling her land.

The three Priscilla Nduta, Peter Karanja and Emmah Wacera were arraigned at the Makadara Law Courts for and charged with counts of obtaining by false pretences contrary to section 313 of the penal code.

The three reportedly posed as land owner to the complainant Nancy Njeri Muiruri who wanted to buy parcels of land in Kiambu county only to disappear after obtaining Ksh. 7.8 Million from her.

Muiruri’s lawyer Dennis Magero expressed confidence that justice will be done and that the other accomplices six will also be arrested and arraigned.

The three were released on a cash bail of Ksh. 500,000 and a surety of Ksh. 1 Million.
