Ann Adhiambo, the prime suspect in the murder Nairobi Hospital Finance Officer Eric Maigo has pleaded guilty.

Her admission comes after the court was told that she’s an adult and that she is fit to stand trial .

Appearing before high court Kanyi Kimondo the charges were read thrice in Swahili just to ensure that she knew of the charges and she repeatedly said;

“Ni Ukweli”

However the judge explained to the accused the consequences of her answer and gave her time to discuss with her lawyers.
“Nakupa muda zaidi Ndio uweze kuongea na wakili wako ambaye Yuko mahakamani mzungumze wakuelezee vizuri kile unachoambia mahakama …,” Said the judge

The judge directed that the plea be taken again before a Kibera Law court where the charges will be read again .

Her lawyers have however insisted that their client is a minor saying that they have a birth certificate to show that she’s underage.
