Ugandan Socialite and businesswoman Zari Hassan and her boyfriend Shakib Cham Lutaaya held a private Islamic wedding known as a Nikah. The beauty’s marriage to her lover Shakib took place in her current country of residence, South Africa, with only a few guests invited to the wedding.
In a video shared online, family and friends look on as Shakib places a ring on Zari’s finger as she admiringly looks at it. Shakib places a ring on her left hand, while kneeling down in front of the beauty.
They are both donned in Muslim wedding outfits. The two seal the moment with a kiss before heading out for a family photo.
A Nikah, in Islam, is a contract between a husband and wife and forms part of one of the stages in an Islamic marriage.
The Nikah involves the groom and bride consenting to the marriage of their own free wills, by having a formal contract which is either done verbally or on paper.
Zari and Shakib Dating History
Zari and her lover Shakib have been together for close to a year after the socialite part ways with Ugandan businessman GK Choppa.
Through the time they have been together, the mother of five has always been ignoring criticism directed to their relationship over their wide age gap.
In August 2022, Zari called out the society for harshly judging women for dating men younger than them but did not do so for women dating older men.
