Brian Chira’s Grandmother now says Baba Talisha squandered her money.

The argument between Chira’s grandmother and Baba Talisha begun when Tiktoker Obidan went live and called Chira’s grandmother to clarify allegations that was spreading about the 8 million cash that was collected after Chira’s tragic death.

“Walienda kununulia watoto nguo za bei rahisi pale Eastleigh hapo ndio pesa zilipotelea. Nikaona mbona mimi nivae nguo ya 20,000 na wavae nguo za shillingi kumi,” Chira’s grandmother said.

The grandmother went on to accuse Baba Talisha of stealing the money.

She also accused Talisha’s alleged wife Brenda Wanjiku of controlling how the finances were to be used.

She has even claimed that her phone was taken away by Talisha’s wife and returned to her days after Chira’s burial.

“Nilikuwa nimebakisha balance ya 1 million na nilikuwa nipeleke Friday but nikagonjeka. Wanjiku ndiye alikuwa akiwithdraw pesa. Alinitusi,”

But in a quick rejoinder Baba Talisha was forced to respond after Chira’s granny took to Tiktok to allege that he misappropriated 8 million shillings.

He denied those allegations saying they were not true as alleged threatening to sue Chira’s Granny.

“Let them go print bank and M-Pesa statements and share them publicly. Yaani hata shosho anasema 40,000 nilipewa nilienda nazo,” he said.

“I owe Chira’s grandfather an apology. Whatever she has done to me, I don’t think I’ll ever do charity on social media again,”

This even comes few hours after kikuyu elders in Githunguri where Chira was buried conducted rituals to cleanse the village.

Village elders drawn from Gitei village in Gathanje area, Kiambu County on Friday turned up at the late Brian Chira’s home in Githunguri to perform a cleansing ritual.

This came amid concerns from the villagers over the misconduct by mourners who thronged his burial ceremony last month.

“We didn’t like the way they dressed, smoked and drank alcohol in front of us. They didn’t even respect the clergy. They were disrespecting our Kikuyu traditions, and we’ve never seen that before. They urinated everywhere. That’s not the way we were brought up,” one of the villagers said.
