The Kenyan boxing champion Sarah ‘Angel of War’ Achieng’ is already thinking of bigger fights and tittles in future after retaining Commonwealth Super lightweight title against Zimbabwean challenger Chiedza Homakoma.
Achieng knocked out Chiedza aka “Queen Tiger” in the eighth round at the Charter Hall, Nairobi on Friday last week.
“Next year, I’m planning to go for other belts like the WBC and the IBF,” said the former Universal Boxing Organization (UBO) Inter Continental Female Lightweight champion.
“From here, I’m going to start thorough preparations for the IBF title to be staged in Belgium in February.” She said.
According to Achieng’ her Commonwealth Super lightweight title has inspired her to a great heights and will now go for more bigger titles including the World Boxing Council (WBC) title, the most prestigious in the trade.
“We are glad that our strategy for the fight worked out from the onset. I’m sure there will be many more opportunities going forward,” said Achieng,
