Leading Kenya’s urban media house, Ghetto Radio led the farewell party for departed reggae host Fyah Mummah Njambi Koikai at the Quiver Lounge along Thika Road in Nairobi.

Ghetto Radio boasted of a full-house from its manager, Majimaji and Goteana Show host’s DJ Double Trouble and Bonoko.

Stella Vanessa who hosts the mid-morning show was present and so was Entertainment Chit-Chat host’s, Gloria and Harriet.

Bonoko who  is the station’s face ushered Majimaji to the stage while thanking him for his wise counsel.

When Majimaji stepped up, the audience went to a frenzy as he worked out the crowd with his evergreen hit ‘Unbwogable’.

The crowd seemed to be enjoying every showcase as they sang along word by word to his lines.

The media boss further affirmed the need to celebrate individuals while they’re still alive. He further thanked reggae lovers for coming out in droves in celebrating the life of Fyah Mummah Njambi.

Star-studded Event

The event attracted the who is who within the creative industry as well as the political class.

Former Nairobi Governor, Mike Sonko was in the building as well as former Kenyan consul to the US ambassador, Big Ted.

Boy Band, H-eart The Band, P-UNIT(Bon Eye, Frasha and Gabu), Gilad as well as Gravity Band also took turns in entertaining the revelers.

Creatives ruled the day noting from their huge numbers the likes of Awinja, Shix Kapienga, Mbussi, Shatta Bway, Kris Darlin, MC Gogo and Talia Oyando among many others came to give their last respects.

The days proceeds were also channeled towards offsetting medical and meeting burial needs.

The departed reggae host will be laid to rest this Friday at the Langata cemetery.
