Johnstone Omurwa becomes the ninth player to leave Estrela da Amadora squad for the 2023/2024 season

Portuguese Side announced His Departure

Portuguese top-tier side CF Estrela Amadora  officially announced the departure of Kenyan International Johnstone Omurwa from the club following the expiry of his contract.

“Thank you for eveything Johnstone ” read a post on the club’s official Instagram page

After joining the club Johnstone had to wait until ill October 2022 to make his first appearance ..

His move to Amadora represented his first international debut in European Football

His football career kick-started immediately after high school when he joined Wazito in 2017 before joining Mathare United in 2018

.He made his debut for the club against Vihiga United in February 2018

In Aug 2019 he rejoined Wazito Fc and was linked to Angolan Outfit Petro Atletico.

Omurwa has played internationally for the Kenya National Under -23 making his debut against Mauritius in an 2020 Olympics qualification match in November 2018.

He made his debut for the Kenya National Team On 8th September 2019 in a 1-1 friendly draw with Uganda .
