Nairobi Woman Representative Esther Passaris has said that she will not run for the seat in 2027.

She announced this in Makadara while gracing a function.

Passaris intimated that the two terms she has served are enough and now she has to focus on other things.

Meanwhile she took the opportunity to announce her support for one Cecilia Karanja who Pasaris said abandoned the seat in order to support Passaris in the 2022 general election.

“Cecilia campaigned for me 100%. And I will tell you Cecilia 2027 I am not interested in the woman representative seat. And you are the one I am looking at, nimefanya Woman Rep two terms na nimemaliza..,” Passaris said.

Passaris was first elected in 2017 under ODM.

Passaris was re-elected to her position after garnering 698,929 votes.

Her main rival Millicent Omanga of UDA party was second garnering 586,246 votes.
