The Dagoretti Corner community came together for the 21st edition of the Inter Santos Memorial Tournament  held at NCC grounds along Ngong road.

Inter Santos was started to honour the departed members of the society as well as  donate foodstuff and clothes to the less fortunate.

Peter Kagiri better known as Benji Street by the locals shares that the event was initially started as a tribute to the departed football players from the community such as the late Harambee Stars legend Steve Okumu Oliech.

More than a hundred families went home with smiles on their faces after receiving donations from this community event which is facilitated by the youth groups in the area.

“Everyone is welcome to bring the little they have so that we share with the less fortunate. We joined all the youth groups and  adopted the name Inter Santos since everyone here is dedicated to give a lending hand.” Says Kagiri.

The tournament has never missed an event even during the covid  period with Kagiri mentioning that they still carried on with the event as they observed the covid guidelines.
