Rappers Japesa and Vioxii Dede have both gone hard on Luo rap with their newest release ‘Bolo Ga Ni Pangla’.
The song ‘Bolo Ga Ni Pangla’ delves on the complexities of urban dating.
The title loosely translates to ‘Avoiding like plaque’ or simply ‘Taking Off’ when one finds out he’s being taken for a ride in an affair.
In this instance, Vioxii shares his ordeal how he met a Nairobi woman in a city bound matatu.
Unbeknownst to Vioxii, the woman was a gold digger out to milk him dry.
Vioxii’s lines are laced with metaphors, punchlines and a great rhyme scheme.
His storytelling skills is also superb as he brings out his comical side.
“Nyocha donge ayudo nyako moro e boma kae nyathi moting’o yote ka chiro ma Githurai (Iwacho adier) omera donge awe nayudo nyako (Ati what) kara mana kudho emakwanyo” he raps partly.
Japesa adds flavor while engaging Vioxii.
Despite his short stint in the hook, his energy is still heavily felt.
“Kaka nene nyako ni nonjawi awacho ayueyo nakweri nyi Nairobi” he raps partly.
The song’s video is already out with the storyline matching its concept.
It kicks off with Japesa making his way to a garage in his pick-up with Vioxii turning out as a mechanic.
The narration continues with other scenes showing Vioxii meeting his crush, a well-endowed lady in a matatu.
Fans of Luo rap have since received well the new piece of art with congratulatory messages being thrown their way.
Barely two years ago, Vioxii and Japesa were embroiled in a beef following the ownership of their then collabo ‘Nyakalaga’.
