Azimio La Umoja one Kenya Alliance Deputy Presidential candidate in 2022 General Elections Martha Karua is planning to move to court on Tuesday sue Inspector General of Police Japheth Koome and Nairobi regional Police commander Adamson Bungei.
Karua says that the suit will be filed on Tuesday or Wednesday just in case Raila Odinga declares Monday as maandamano day.
Speaking in Kibera Kamkunji grounds during Azimio La Umoja One Kenya rally Karua said that she is going to sue them over gross misconduct when handling Azimio demonstrations.
“I know that Bungei’s Case and that one of Koome is in Nerthalands Hague but I am also planning to file a case in our Kenyan courts on Tuesday. But if Baalba will declare it a public holiday then I will postponed it to wednesday,” Said Karua.
Barring Journalists from covering Shakahola massacre
Karua also used her time to condemn the government from denying Journalist acces to provide live coverage of Shakahola cult massacre.
“Without media no one could have known what was going on in Shakahola but now because the government is in bed with fake pastors they are now sending Journalists away from covering the event.
This government should leave Journalists alone to provide their coverage as it was before or else Tuesday we are going to demonstrate,” she added.
Karua also blamed the government for being responsible for the high cost of living that Kenyans are going through.
