Chief of Defence Forces (CDF) Francis Ogolla is dead.
Ogolla died this afternoon after a chopper he was in crashed in Cheptulel West Pokot.
He has died aged 61.
It is alleged that CDF Ogolla was with other senior military officers when the chopper caught fire in Cheptulel area of West Pokot County.
Allegedly 9 people were on board. 6 feared dead.
Ogolla was appointed in April 2023 by President William Ruto.
He took over from Gen Robert Kibochi whose term ended.
Gen. Ogolla was previously the Commander of the Air Force and Vice Chief of Defence Forces.
