It is now emerging that late Nigerian actor, Junior Pope rejected a life jacket because it was dirty. This is according to Adanma Luke, the producer of the movie Junior was shooting before he drowned.

Since the boat capsized ending the life of Junior Pope and three others in the Anam River, Adanma has been trolled for the deaths.

Reacting for the first time over the unfortunate incident, she asserted that Junior Pope was given a life jacket but he rejected it because it was dirty.

In a video posted on her Instagram, she affirmed that all the people who donned the life jackets survived the boat incident.

“My producer manager said they saw life jackets hanging and they took them. He said he even asked the late Friday to take one to Junior Pope but Junior Pope said it was dirty so he didn’t take it, those with life jackets survived the boat mishap” she said partly.

Gallon For Survival

She further disclosed that when the boat capsized and everyone was tossed into the water Junior Pope was there.

She continued that Junior even asked if everyone was fine. It was then that a gallon was thrown his way for survival.

However, he suddenly disappeared without a trace even as divers responded to the rescue mission.

It was alleged that Junior Pope was taken straight to the morgue after his body was found despite him still being alive.

It’s the morgue attendant who confirmed that the celebrated actor was yet to kick the bucket.

Junior Pope’s demise comes barely weeks after the Nigerian movie fraternity mourned the death of popular actor and comedian, Mr. Ibu.
