Liverpool’s new head coach, Arne Slot, has made his first signing even before assuming his position as the club’s boss. Jurgen Klopp is expected to officially leave the club on June 1 after nine years of service.

Arne Slott has “robbed” his former club Feyenoord on his first signing at Anfield, as he is expected to bring his own players and staff.
Newly signed Ruben Peeters will become Liverpool’s first team physical performance coach, and he will be expected to lead the important department during Slott’s reign at the east of Merseyside.

Peeters has a notable track record, having also served in a similar position with Belgian football giants Genk. His agency, Claes Agency, wrote on LinkedIn that Peeters will be accompanying Slot and assistant manager Siple Hulshoff to Anfield.
“Done deal, Ruben Peeters to Liverpool,” the agency further stated.
Peeters will now replace Andreas Kornmayer and Dr. Andreas Schlumberger, who served in similar positions during Klopp’s reign.
Familiar Faces are expected to Exit Anfield.
Other members of Anfield’s first team staff to exit include the elite coach, assistant coach, physiotherapist, head of goalkeeping and his assistant, as well as the head of recovery and performance. The club also advertised for the first team’s setpiece coach, signaling a complete turnaround.
