Ghetto Radio’s Julius Owino popularly known as Majimaji joined veteran actor Alphonse Makokha Makacha in mourning his departed wife at his Embakasi residence. The night vigil and prayers were the final one before the burial slated for today at the Langata Cemetery.

Majimaji represented the creative industry and also as a neighbor residing in the larger Embakasi estate.

Taking to his social media networks, Majimaji shared a series of photos in the company of Makokha. Majimaji further sent love and light to the family, friends and the creative industry.

“I joined renowned actor Alphonse Makokha and the family in mourning his wife. Today was the last prayer before her burial tomorrow. May the family, friends, Vioja Mahakamani crew and the creative industry find peace” he asserted partly.

Welfare Bill

Majimaji further disclosed that there’s creative welfare bill in the offing being fronted by Migori Senator, Eddy Oketch.

The celebrated media personality cum creative genius further opined that we should all be joining hands not only during fun times but also at times of adversities.

He further added that the welfare bill will put smiles on the faces of creatives in regard to grieving moments.

“Kindly, the creative welfare bill by Sen. Eddy Oketch should only be enriched if need be and passed. When it is smile and fun time come one, come all, when it’s frown and tears we seem to be alone. Welfare will create a basis for smiles in equal measure” he summed up his statement.

Felled By Breast Cancer

Makokha’s wife, Purity Wambui breathed her last on Sunday, June 2 after a long battle with breast cancer.

Wambui had fought cancer for 18 years and was married to Makokha for over 30 years.

The couple have several children with the last born aged 11 years.

During Makokha’s last media interview, the veteran actor broke down while recalling his moments with his now departed soul mate.

Despite losing his wife, Makokha appeared jolly during the last prayer vigil.

Also present were members of the Vioja Mahakamani crew from the judge herself, Lucy Wangui, Kawira to Ondiek Nyuka Kuota among other extras.

They celebrated Makokha’s wife through dance and also took part in the funds-drive.
