Nominated Azimio la Umoja Senator Crystal Asige today testified in case where she is seeking compensation from the popular boy band Sauti Sol.

Asige is seeking redress citing breach of contract and now demands compensation from the popular boy band Sauti Sol.

Asige told the presiding judge that sometime in February of 2019 they had a late night studio session with sauti Sol artists

During this time they took a ride Bienaine Baraza, Polycap Otieno, Willis Chimano and Delvis Mudingi accompanied her home in a taxi.

Asige said during the ride she orally performed for Bienaine her original song composition hoping to get
his feedback as she had not completed it.

She said BieAnaine seemed to like the composition and later on,she forwarded they lyrics to him
via WhatsApp for further feedback.

The Senator told court that Bienaine did not seem as excited anymore and they never spoke about the song again.

She said she was shocked to hear her original
composition now performed and recorded by Bienaine Baraza, Polycap Otieno, Willis Chimano and Delvis Mudingi under studio album “Midnight Train” with a few additional lyrics.

The Senator said her original composition was now titled “Intro”, credited as a co-author when it is actually her original composition that was wrongfully from me and used without my knowledge or permission and with no attempt to share its revenue.

She testified that in 2019 the Sol Generations willfully took her around in circles, giving numerous
excuses and promising to give me a contract.

She alleged that her disability and health concerns were never put into consideration by her label mates
adding that she could be exploited for financial gain.

Asige pointed out at one time she had to undergo emergency eye surgery due to a persistent pain that I had been suffering but was brushed off by the group, and instead scheduled me to attend
a meeting which nobody showed up for, at a time when I needed to be in hospital.

Additionally she said she requests for accommodations such as orientation and mobility around new spaces and stages during media tours and performances were never granted.
