During his tenure at Radio Citizen, Shatta Bway co-hosted the lively and widely enjoyed show “Waks Tikitaka” alongside Q-Tee and DJ Rambo, airing from 10 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

Additionally, he was also known for hosting a morning program on Citizen TV that delved into various relationship topics.

Reason for departure

In explaining his departure, Shatta Bway revealed that he was leaving the media industry at the pinnacle of his career to focus on raising his two children.he points out that he is a single parent.

He emphasized the importance of being present in his children’s lives, especially as they navigate crucial stages of adolescence.

“As a single parent, I have to face a situation in which I have to make decisions taking into account both parental roles. I have to be a mother who cares for her child as well as a father who guides her,” he said. “Now, my son has become a teenager and the most important period for his development is the time when parental presence is crucial.

Shatta Bway emphasized the need to prioritize spending quality time with his children.

He statated that he couldn’t commit to a career that would constrain his ability to be actively involved in their upbringing.

“I feel I need time with the children at this moment and I can’t be in a career that will tie me down daily limiting me from accomplishing what I want to do with my children.”
