In a statement to the public, Tiwa revealed that she has been battling a virus for the past few weeks.
According to the afro beats star, her personal physician has directed her to take a break for a few months off performances.
“To my dear Savage Soldiers, I’ve been fighting off a virus for the past few weeks and was today firmly instructed to be on strict vocal rest for the next few months” read part of the statement.
In addition, Tiwa will have to postpone all her coming performances including her first headline arena show in London.
“I will unfortunately have ton postpone all performances including my first ever headline arena show in London” further read the statement.
Totally Shaken
The ‘Who’s Your Guy’ singer was totally shaken by the development as she sought to adhere to the set guidelines.
She affirmed that it was the only way in making sure she gets her voice back.
“I’m heartbroken and devastated but I have to do this to save what’s left of my voice” continued the statement.
While summing up, Tiwa assured her fans that once healed she will bounce back big and embark on her performances.
“I’m so sorry. I love you all and promise to be back performing once I’m fully healed” summed up the statement.
